Apple-Cabbage Slaw

Apple-Cabbage Slaw

Ingredients:

1 cup Cabbage, shredded

1 Gala apple, julienned

1 Carrot, grated

2 tbsp Cilantro, chopped

1 Green Onion, sliced finely

2 tbsp Red Onion, sliced

2 tbsp Lemon Juice

Salt & Pepper

*optional* 1 tsp honey (for sweetness)

Instructions:

  1. Mix all of the ingredients in a large bowl and mix to combine.

  2. Allow the mixture to sit for 15 minutes as this will allow time for the lemon juice to slightly wilt the cabbage.

** Honey is a great addition to balance the acid and sourness of the lemon juice, but I actually prefer the tart taste without it.**

Substitutions:

Lemon: vinegar
